View Park was developed in the 1920s as a high-upper-classneighborhood; the land was sold off in parcels, with landowners choosing their own architects. It was undeveloped until 1932, when it became the site of the Olympic Village for the 10th Olympiad that year. The era still remains in some of its street names.
